Suffolk New College requests clothes and food for Ukraine

The staff at Suffolk New College railed in the wake of urgent requests for goods, clothes and supplies for the Ukrainian people fleeing their country.

Like everyone in their college community they found themselves wanting to support.

Beata Grzella and Marta Karatysz started campaigning within the college, asking staff to donate unwanted clothes/blankets and footwear and this very quickly found traction with staff & students.

We were overwhelmed by our community coming together to show support and solidarity for Ukraine. As a college we donated over 200 items and drove the goods down to Dover destined for Poland.

We’re incredibly proud of the college response and momentum still remains.
